Tools Cabinet

After completing the temporary sink, it's on to the next project, a "Tools Cabinet" to keep all of my gardening stuffs.

Thinking that the cabinet is to be placed outside and exposed to the elements, I should build one out of wood.

I did a sketch of the cabinet and went to a nearby construction material shop to purchase the raw wooden materials.

I bought additional materials just in case I make a mistake along the way. This is a snap shot of what I had bought:

a) 2 pieces of 9mm plywood in the back.
b) 6 pieces of 2" x 2" wood
c) 5 pieces of 8" x 1" wood
d) 1 box of 1" screww
e) Redwood wood finish (varnish)
f) 1 bottle of thinner
g) 2 drill bits

You can see from the picture above that I had cut out all of the 2" x 2" to their respective lengths.

The next thing I thought would be to fix up the support pieces before I cut the shelves pieces. I am also considering how to fix the shelve support pieces so that it can vary in height. Anyway, no more cutting until I can confirm this.

I sand the surface of the wood to try to get a smooth surface where I can apply varnish.

This is still a work in progress... to be continued...
